Consumer Guide has been evaluating online detective services to find out whether these services actually performed up to their claims. We wanted to see if accurate personal records, background checks and criminal histories could be obtained by simply using a reverse phone lookup. What we have found is that the majority of these services are able to obtain in depth personal information on a person by doing a reverse phone search but that some of these services performed better than others.
